General Survey Fall 2011 Analysis
Key takeaways
- Over 160 answers collected in a week.
- Over 70% of the students get most of their information from the weekly mass email
- Over 2/3 of the respondents agree that the $20 levy to the MUS is being well spent

- Overall, only 30% of respondents were not currently a member of any clubs/committees
- Low involvement of U0s and U1s (35% and 40% uninvolved, respectively)
- U0s most wanted to be surveyed on case competitions (coming soon!)
- U1s most wanted to be surveyed on Mass Tutorials
- U1s were the most likely to be looking forward to Carnival (approx 69% of the respondents... coincidence?)
MUS initiatives
- The low first year student involvement issue is currently being tackled by the implementation of the First Year Street Team (FYST).
- One of the respondents answered one question by “Don’t know. Does it even matter what I say?” The role of the Survey Task Force is to make sure that your voice is heard by the MUS.
- We will be targeting our survey marketing campaign using the information gained by this survey in order to achieve a more representative cross-section of students for future surveys.
