Sandiford Lab

The Sandiford Lab is the only student run computer lab on campus. The Lab consists of room 007 in the Conrad Concourse (basement) and room 202 on the second floor of Bronfman. All of the equipment in both labs is funded by BCom students through the 21st Century Fund. Management students have 24-hour access to the labs with the use of a McGill ID.

The labs provide access to computers, Internet, scanners and printers. Computers are equipped with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office 2007 (on all computers) and Adobe Creative Suite 4 (on select computers). Digital cameras, laptops and portable projectors can be rented from the lab for educational purposes. The Sandiford Lab also contains three discussion rooms, complete with computers and whiteboards, which can be rented out from the Sandiford Office in room 007. Students have access to 100MB of personal storage on the McGill network from the computer labs and from their home residences via a VPN connection.

The labs are staffed by management students who are trained to handle technical questions from students and professors. The staff are responsible for solving computer problems and managing the labs' resources.
