Desautels Management Leadership Seminar

DMLS – Desautels Management Leadership Seminar – an annual, two-day event exclusive to first year students. Held Friday March 9 - Saturday March 10, 2012, this event seeks to develop the leadership skills of McGill's future business leaders.

On Friday, March 9, students will have the opportunity to hear from a series of guest speakers from several different fields and learn about leadership while networking with industry representatives. On Saturday, March 10, a case competition will take place, where teams of 4-5 students are given 2 hours to prepare a solution to a predetermined case. Students must utilize the unique skills of one another to collaborate in preparing creative recommendations that focus on management, marketing, ethics, social responsibility and financial prosperity. Students will then deliver their 20-minute PowerPoint presentation to a panel of judges consisting of company representatives and faculty executives, followed by a 10 minute Q&A period.
