Fall 2011 Recap: VP Communications
Hello to the beautiful people of Bronfman!
It's hard to believe that the fall semester is almost at a close. I hope everyone is surviving final exams. Just remember: the winter break is closer than you think!
I was one of the 1% (too soon?) that didn't have any exams this semester, so I have been back home in Saskatchewan enjoying my break. (Yes, some of you might be thinking "Sask…HOW is that lucky!?"). But let me tell you, watching episode after episode of Criminal Minds, sleeping in until noon, and baking holiday sweets REALLY is a tough life!
This semester, one of my biggest successes has been the First Year Street Team. Working closely alongside the BOD Marketing Rep, Alyson Murphy, we have composed a team of 13 individuals that are absolutely spectacular! Co-Chairs, Lara Ballantyne and Jony Tabuteau, have been hard at work with their committee promoting MUS events and even spreading Holiday cheer during the exam time pick-me-ups. If you are a first year and have any questions about absolutely ANYTHING, these are the guys to approach! Be sure to check out their Facebook page or look for them wandering the floors of Bronfman wearing their red hoodies!
At the beginning of the year you had the opportunity to grab a FREE MUS Agenda. This handy-dandy planner helps you stay organized during the hectic mid-term and final seasons. It even reminds you when you need to 'suit-up' for a presentation! If you would like an Agenda in the New Year, we still have plenty left so stop by the MUS in January and I can grab one for you. (A BIG shout out to Sean Finnell who worked with me on creating that beautiful book!)
Since I do a lot of the "behind the scenes" work on the MUS, it's hard to tangibly show you what I have been up to! Whether it be the Facebook or Twitter pages, the Mass Email, or posters around the concourse of Bronfman, I hope you all have been well informed about the numerous activities the MUS has to offer!
Since I am out of town for the winter break and will not be accessible during office hours, please feel free to contact me via email at [email protected] if you have any questions, comments or concerns!
Happy Holidays!
